Sankey diagrams are used to represent complex systems of flows by visually depicting the quantity of a flow by its width on the page. The Sankey Flow Creator was developed in Processing as a Java applet to support the visualization of financial and environmental flows in the Economy Map project. The applet has not yet been implemented in Economy Map.
