About This Project

TRUTHstudio collaborated with VitalMetrics to analyze and visually represent the supply chain environmental impacts of Federal spending. Using data provided by the US General Services Administration (GSA), VitalMetrics used its CEDA 4.0 database to model the relative environmental impacts of different categories of Federal spending. TRUTHstudio created a custom visualization method to visually communicate: 1) the relative impacts per spending category; 2) the upstream sectors contributing the most combined impacts; and 3) how these connect through impacts and supply chains. The results are being used by GSA to prioritize Federal action on supply chain GHG emissions and other impacts.
